I made the two Harry Potter etsy skirts today, and was actually able to hand them off, instead of shipping them, which will save me some trouble tomorrow. I'll still have to ship Elsa off on Friday, but I'm going to try some more dyeing with her tomorrow.

I ombre dyed her using RIT dye today, which of course is not actually meant for polyester, so I'm going to see if I can find some poly dye tomorrow, and do a test run, then hopefully actually get the dye job done. Because it's just way lighter than it needs to be right now. Here's a pic: I am really hoping I can make the top of it get to a real crayon-type "green."

Rit now has a polyester dye - it's called DyeMore and I've seen it sold at Hobby Lobby and I just saw that Joann's carries it too. I've never tried it, but it sounds promising.

Thanks for the tip! I just went out and bought some - my local Joanns doesn't seem to carry it, but the one in the next town over does. I'll probably try it tomorrow morning.

iDye is also pretty good. I used it to dye my faded purple velvet ribbon (either poly or rayon, not sure), and it came out super saturated and beautiful.
