CoCo Part 2 - Friday

Friday, I woke up bright and early, donned my Miss Pettigrew outfit, and headed to my hard-bottomed reticule class. It was a great class, and I finished my reticule! I also attended [livejournal.com profile] nuranar's class about self-trimming, which was so useful and informative, and [livejournal.com profile] jennylafleur's class on curling hair (apparently, I'm doing everything wrong, but my hair certainly does seem to hold a curl!).

Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] starlightmasque for taking the only pictures of me in this outfit!

After classes, I headed upstairs to re-curl my hair for the Not-ice-cream Social. Yep. I curled my hair four times within 48 hours. I wore my archery dress, which is still either my fav or 2nd fav costume I've ever made. :) My phone camera was being especially troublesome on Friday night, but I did manage to get a few blurry pics in:

Does anyone know who this is? I loved her 30's.              Kaila                                              Abby

Selfies with big hats are hard, right, [livejournal.com profile] vanessa_lynne?

Then of course, it was the Pink Princess party, but I only made it to 10:30 before turning in for the night.

You looked so great all weekend! This 1830s is especially pretty. And, that's Mary Jane! She's awesome. Also on GBACG's board.

Thanks! Btw, are you not on FB? I looked for you, but couldn't find anyone with your name with mutual friends, which I assume we would have a lot of!

No, I'm not on FB, just here (but thanks for checking!).

I was really hoping you found the class interesting! I felt kind of shy because you already do such a good job of trimming, especially in the 1830s, which were kind of already trim-mad already. :p

I honestly haven't done that much with self-trim, though. But I know I'm making a big fully self-trimmed bustle gown this year, so it was definitely helpful!

Ah, I see! Self-trim is a different way of thinking, for sure. Can't wait to see what you do with your bustle!

Hi Rebecca,
Mary Jane Dean (MJ Dean on FB) is the other 1830s dress. I met her at the ORS retreat last fall. Thanks for the blog posts about CoCo.
