May. 12th, 2014 12:14 amWhoops. I didn't realize I hadn't posted in so long! I made the grand panier for my court gown, using the Simplicity pattern. It was an almost entirely from the stash project, other than purchasing a new roll of hoop wire. But I used fabric that I've had for at least 3 years, plus two packages of bias tape that my grandma purchased in 1972! I've also started on the overskirt and petticoat for the gown. The overskirt is cut out and has to be sewn together and pleated. The underskirt front is just draped on Antoinette right now. I still have to figure out if I can use a non-silk fabric for the parts that won't be shown, since I'm not sure I have enough.
I really don't have too much time to sew, though, since we are now less than two weeks out from opening The Who's Tommy. I have rehearsal 5-6 days/week, and am still attempting to see my BF, too. So sewing is definitely taking a backseat. I hope I wind up clothed at CosCol!
