Jul. 17th, 2014 12:26 amBesides finishing the hat today, I also took in all three pieces of my old 1903 Edwardian ensemble. I realized that three outfits (four if I finish the Regency sari dress) was not enough to fill up all of CosCol. Luckily, I had an old outfit in my closet that I only got to wear once before I lost weight. And Edwardian stuff is relatively easy to take in! It wound up needing to come in 5" in the waistband, the sash, and the bodice, plus the bodice had been a little too poufy in the back. I have yet to try on the bodice since taking it in (it's way too hot here), but I hope it works!
I also made a reservation (for 15!) for Maggiano's on gala night, and dyed my hair. Hopefully, it now matches the pieces I got to build my court gown wig. I just need Kendra's book to get here!
So that means for CosCol, I think all I have to do is finish the Regency sari dress, and create the 18th c wig. Which is good, since today I was offered a temp job for the next two weeks!
This is what I'm thinking of wearing for CosCol, though I'm not so sure what I'm wearing when:
Pool Party: Sari dress or Spencer
Friday day: Seaside bustle or Edwardian
Ice Cream Social: Ravenclaw Bustle Gown
Saturday day: Seaside Bustle or Edwardian
Gala: 18th c Court Gown
Sunday: Sari dress or Spencer
