May. 28th, 2015 08:25 amI wasn't called for rehearsal yesterday, so I got to sew! I have now finished (basically) the under-part of the overskirt. I also cut out the bands for the bottom of the over-part of the overskirt, as well as the waistband, and serged all those pieces.
Sounds confusing? There's a lot of pieces to this skirt. So here's a picture instead:
I wish I could work on the overskirt with the underskirt on Antoinette, but unfortunately, once I put the waistband on these things, there's no way they can fit the form. Once we get a house, and I can actually have a full sewing room (instead of part of the living room), I'm going to get a smaller form to fit all these commissions.
I'm only called for about 20 mins of rehearsal today, so I think I should be able to get some more work done on Belle.
