Mar. 23rd, 2016 11:22 pmI got the Ariel bodice mockup back, so I recut my interlining today with a few adjustments from the original (it was a pretty close fit, though, luckily!). I also cut out the back pieces out of the fashion fabric, since they are fitted (the front is weird crazy pleated). I've serged the back layers together, sewed them, and serged and sewed the front pieces. Which means it's time for pleating (ugh). I don't think I have the focus to do them tonight, so I think that will be done tomorrow. I forsee an early bedtime. :)
I also worked on designs for my princess-inspired play dresses for my etsy shop. I'm going to go to Joanns tomorrow and pick up cottons in a bunch of different colors, and maybe put one sample together. Of course, then I have to find models to photograph the dresses on, and I think I only know two people with young daughters. I'm kind of excited to get these going, though. I have to make sure that I can make them really quickly, because my goal is to be able to sell them for around $50. I'll probably make one or two as testers for time, too, though I know they'll get faster as they go. I just really want to get all my etsy stuff off the ground!
And tomorrow is also our first rehearsal for Bye Bye Birdie. I'm so excited!
