Rhinestone Progress
Jul. 9th, 2020 01:33 pmI did another 1.75 hrs of rhinestoning yesterday. The bodice now looks like this: www.instagram.com/p/CCaJYEAA6go/
I'm a little disappointed that the pink rhinestones at the waist look a lot darker on the dress than they do loose, and seem quite close to the purple, which is also darker than I would like, but it's too late to do anything about that now. I'm also a little worried about the longevity of the purple rhinestones. I had to reapply four of them after I put them on yesterday. I hope I didn't get a bad batch.
Since then, I drew on the lines for the remainder of the bodice rhinestones, and hope to have those in place by the end of tonight. Then it's on to the skirt, which feels really daunting.
I have to admit, part of me wishes I hadn't put any rhinestones on the bodice. It was so pure and elegant before. I hope I like it more once I put the skirt rhinestones on, but either way it's too late now.
