I got to quilt for a couple hours today, though I don't feel like I got all that much accomplished. Flowers are so time consuming!

I also realized that since my old shoes I wore to faire died, I needed new ones before April. I didn't want to spend too much, and I had a $35 gift card to Payless burning a hole in my pocket, so I went out and bought these for $17, and then turned them into these. They're not great, but they should at least carry me through BARF, Scarborough, and the Pleasure Faire in April.

I realized I slacked on my movie review yesterday. So yesterday, I watched A Serious Man - some good moments of humour, but I felt a lot of it was lost in the amount of Hebrew and Yiddish used in the movie. Not a bad movie overall. Probably 3.5 stars out of 5.
Today, I watched Stone of Destiny. Not being too familiar with the actual theft of the Stone of Scone, I found this movie really fascinating and intriguing. I'm sure I did not get as much quilting done as I should have in that time, since I got pretty glued in to the movie. My only qualm was that Charlie Cox (who I would say is best known from Stardust) played the lead, and not only is he an Englishman playing a Scot in a movie all about Scottish nationalism, but he didn't seem to have the strongest Scottish accent, especially in the first half of the movie. Nevertheless, I give this movie 5 stars.
I also finally saw Dr. Horrible's Sing-a-long Blog. I can't believe I had never seen it before! Very enjoyable, and I found myself wanting much more than the short 40 mins, 5 stars.
