Done with one project and on to another. Yesterday, I started on my new regency sari dress. I sewed together the two panels for the skirt, and today, I draped a bodice onto Antoinette, and created a pattern. The back of the bodice is pretty much straight out of Janet Arnold (so far, anyway), but the front is super funky. I'm attempting to use the border as the trimming, without cutting and resewing it. That means the whole front piece is going to be completely on the bias. Should I be doing the lining on the bias, too, or keep that on the straight grain?

Anyway, here's my draped up pic:

Thanks! It's a vintage silk sari I found on ebay. I was actually really disappointed when it came, since it had looked bright orange online, but the brown is definitely growing on me now. It's a little odd going from the court gown to this, that's for sure!
