theladyrebeccaNo sewing to report, as I figured, but I feel bad when I don't post very much. Clearly this is a sign that I need to sew! Of course, I realized that I have a rehearsal on Monday and Wednesday nights next week, which means I very desperately need to hem my 1850s skirt on Tuesday! I also need to go buy a tacky Christmas sweater. We start our caroling gigs next Friday, and I think we're in Victorian on Friday and tacky sweater on Saturday, but I've been so busy this week that I haven't had time to keep up! I'm really looking forward to a four-day weekend next weekend, even if I will be caroling on three out of four days. I better make sure I know my music!
I also keep waffling about if/when to decorate for Christmas. Normally, I put up the tree and decorate on the day after Thanksgiving. But if all goes well with the closing, we'll be closing the 14th, and I'll be moving on Dec 19th, which means I would need to pack up all the decorations and redecorate once we move. I don't want to just skip the tree, though! I'm really tempted to at least put the tree out in my apt, and maybe just save the rest of the decorations until we have the house. Maybe I'll just leave the orange Halloween lights up outside for now?
I did see Hunger Games yesterday with my BF. It was good, though I guess a little sad, because now it's over! It's been a couple years since I re-read the books, but I think they kept fairly close, from what I could remember. It's weird - the second half of that book gave me such mental imagery as they were going through all the pods in the capitol, that it was like I had already seen a movie of it.
Anyway, sorry for all the non-sewing babbling. I'll try to get back on track next week!
