I finished 1/3 of the third row! I'm a little worried that rows 4 and 5 are going to make it very awkward to hold the skirt, since there will be too much hem to fit in my hand. But I do really like how it's looking:



I would love to do another 1/3 tomorrow, but I'm teaching a sewing lesson for a couple hours in the morning, and I'm going to see a show in the evening, so I'm not sure how much time that will leave. And I am so slow at hand-sewing. But if I don't accomplish it, it will mean I'm more than 1/3 behind! I was originally hoping to finish row 3 tomorrow...

I also realized that I really need to get going on the bodice. I'm planning to machine sew the bodice seams, so I need to make sure to get to it before I go to my parents' house in a couple weeks. Because I can do all the handsewing I want while I'm there, but I really don't think my mom's machine is in working order right now. So I guess that will be my goal for next week. That, and getting the pleats attached to the overskirt tabs. Ideally, I want to finish everything that needs machine sewing by June 20th.
