Ugh. I feel like I am getting nowhere with the Flynn doublet because there are so many pieces! I definitely should have started this earlier. Last night, I made the piping, sewed the three facing pieces together, cut out the interlining for the collar, cut out the outers and inner for the flanges at the waist, and all the pieces for the chest and back flanges. But that's it. And I still haven't even cut everything! I mean, it doesn't really help that I'm patterning all these pieces as I go - I just hope they all work. At this point, I at least can sew things together, since the only pieces I have left to cut out are the armseye flanges.

I'm writing the order of how I think I need to assemble everything, just so I can look at it later. You can ignore this part if you want:
1. Sew on chest flanges
2. Sew on right side of collar
3. Sew on waist flanges
4. Pipe front opening/collar edge
5. Sew on back of collar
6. Attach facings
7. Sew on back flange
8. Sew on armseye flanges

What I'm not sure is if I should do my "quilting" on it first or wait. It's probably easier to do it first, since then all the flanges won't be in the way, but waiting might help me see the overall picture of where I should quilt.

It will also need studs and buckles after I finish sewing everything together. And a modestly panel, since otherwise the doublet is designed to meet edge to edge in front.
