Pink 50s progress!

theladyrebeccaMy parents are still here, but I managed to get a little bit of sewing done today and yesterday. The pink 50's dress is just about done. I have just over 1/4 of the hem left to stitch, and (in accordance with Murphy's Laws of Sewing), I don't have any light pink bias tape, so I can't bind the armseyes yet. But I even put the zipper in today! It's showing a little more than I expected, since it's an invisible zipper, but at least it's even! And since I don't really have time before CosCol, I'm not going to make the cummerbund that's supposed to go with the dress, and will be pairing it with my hot pink sash (and purple crinoline!) instead.
Oh, and Victoria was lovely! We went to see Craigdarroch Castle, had a terrific lunch, and walked around to all sorts of shops. Then on Saturday, we explored all sorts of Seattle neighborhoods, and today we took a brunch cruise on Lake Union and Lake Washington, then explored a bit of Ballard. Tomorrow is their last full day here, so we're touring Theo's Chocolate Factory, heading over to Golden Gardens and the locks again, and going out to Trivia Night. I'm going to miss them when they leave!
